Thea is the Sussex Dolphin Project (SDP) Lead. She is responsible for managing the SDP Public Sightings Database and Photo ID catalogue for Sussex marine mammals, as well as developing relationships with individuals and organisations who are regular “users” of the Sussex marine environment.
Thea has studied Marine Biology at Plymouth University, where she completed her dissertation on the abundance of Harbour Porpoises off the coast of Cornwall in relation to tidal cycles. She has also volunteered on marine conservation projects all across the world, including Mexico, Scotland, and the Falklands. Her previous experience includes working as a wildlife guide and research assistant for a Scottish-based marine wildlife watching business.
Thea is currently studying her Masters’ at the University of Brighton, and is doing her dissertation with us.
