WCA Approved tour operators

Join our WCA Approved operators for the highest quality, responsible whale and dolphin watching experiences!

WCA Approved ratings explained

As part of the WCA Approved assessment process, each tour operator is rated on four key themes:

    1. Operations & Management
    2. Cetacean Welfare
    3. Cetacean Interaction Protocols
    4. Sustainability Practices

Operators’ ratings are shown here for transparency and are also included on their WCA Approved certificate.

Here’s what the star ratings mean:

1 star: failing to meet WCA Approved conditions.
2 stars: not yet meeting conditions.
3 stars: meeting conditions – minimum score needed to be WCA Approved.
4 stars: exceeding conditions – this operator goes above and beyond.
5 stars: excelling – gold standard for responsible practices.
