On 30th November WCA Partner Botazzi Whale Watch based in Puerto Pirámides, Patagonia, Argentina, held an event to discuss human-whale interactions in the past and present.

Chilean anthropologist Dr Daniel Quiroz was invited to talk about whaling in South America and the concept of ‘whales’ in different societies along the continent.

WCA Individual Partner Rodrigo A Martinez Catalan, who is currently working with Botazzi as a guide, also gave a small presentation about whale watching in Iceland from his perspective as a naturalist guide with Elding (another WCA Partner).
