The WCA Board of Trustees are delighted to announce the appointment of Suzanne Rogers of Change For Animals Foundation, as a new trustee to WCA. Suz brings with her a wealth of experience from sitting on the boards of other UK charities and managing her own consultancy. Suz is an active WCA partner and we welcome her valuable contribution to board processes.
It is with a mix of sadness and gratitude that Roy Mulder and Rachael Barber have stepped down as Trustees this year. Both Rachael and Roy have played critical roles in the development and success of the organisation. While we will miss them as Trustees, they continue to remain active members of the Global Council. In case you missed the announcement earlier this year, Clive Martin resigned as a Trustee to fulfill his demanding schedule relating to his charity organisation, Orca Rescues Foundation (ORF). Clive remains as an Individual Partner for Life and is a WCA Founding Partner. His contribution and wisdom has been invaluable in establishing the WCA. Again, we cannot thank Clive, Rachael and Roy enough for the dedication, passion, enthusiasm and motivation given to the Trustee Board. Roger Mann and Wendy van Gool continue their roles as Trustees.
The Trustee Board will be bringing the number of board members up to five over the coming months. As recommended by the charities commission, prospective candidates will also be sought from outside the WCA to fill skills gaps, extend different perspectives and strengthen cross organisational idea sharing.
