The Humpback Whale World Congress takes place every 2 years all over the world. The second edition will be held in Reunion Island (France) from the 3rd to the 7th of July 2017. This congress will take place at the Museum of Stella Matutina, 6 Allée des Flamboyants, Piton Saint-Leu 97424, Reunion Island.
Of all the international conferences on marine mammals that have taken place worldwide, rarely have any devoted their attention solely to humpback whales. As the humpback whale is actually likely to be the most observed and most studied whale, it is somewhat surprising that until now humpback whale specialists have had to meet on the sidelines of other marine related scientific events. WCA are now partners promoting the HWWC, which has been created to fulfil this requirement.
