World Whale Conference 2017 Conference Workshops – Sunday 25th June 2017

 

If you would like to submit a proposal for a Workshop at the upcoming World Whale Conference in Durban, please complete the form by following the link below.

Deadline for submission is 17th March 2017. All applicants will be informed about whether their proposal has been successful by 31st March 2017.

Workshops are open to all delegates and on all subjects relating to cetaceans. If room space becomes limited, priority will be given to workshops focused on African cetaceans or of likely interest to African participants.

Submit your Workshop Proposals

It will be the responsibility of the workshop organiser to set appropriate participant fees, collect these and pass them over to the Conference Organiser.  It will also be the responsibility of the workshop organiser to provide receipts to attendees, and create a list of attendees – copy to the Conference Organiser. Fees should cover the costs of hiring the venue and any facilities required, and if provided, all refreshments. The workshop organiser can look for sponsors to cover these costs.

Workshop fees

Full Day: South African Rand (ZAR) 500 per attendee

Half Day: South African Rand (ZAR) 300 per attendee

**Minimum number of attendees = 10**

(The fee includes use of venue, wireless HD projector, pointers/presenters, complimentary, 500MB voucher per a delegate, conference stationery, 1 x flip chart with markers, refreshments on arrival/mid-morning/afternoon, bottled water, cordials, sweets and lunch(full day only)).

If you require a PA system with roving mic, this would incur an additional South African Rand (ZAR) 1,500 fee.

Workshop organisers and participants are required to be registered conference delegates (delegate fees apply).
